Marine Terminal |
"Ceilidh at the Big Fiddle" - Ceilidh (pronounced
kay-lee) is a Gaelic word that means “gathering together” and has become
synonymous with a good old fashioned kitchen party. We couldn't find a
kitchen big enough for this party so it's only fitting that it will be
held at the Sydney Marine Terminal which houses the world's largest
fiddle! The guest list who will gather for this giant Ceilidh include
artists from Spain, Denmark, Scotland, the U.S. and of course, Cape
Breton. So far, the guest list includes Carlos Núñez (Galicia, Spain),
Raylene Rankin (Cape Breton), Haugaard & Høirup (Denmark), Mairi
MacInnes (Scotland), Karen & Helene (Denmark), Ferintosh (Canada /
U.S.A.), Forrester Dancers (Cape Breton), and you (27 countries and
counting). - Reserved Seating - 7:30pm - $35 - Tickets on sale July 10th
